About J.R. Hare Publishing

The Mission

Stories That Don't Let Go

J.R. Hare Publishing exists to bring The Orb Cycle to readers who want more from science fiction — more depth, more consequence, more worlds worth losing yourself in.

This is not a traditional publishing house. It is the dedicated home of a single author and a single universe: the interstellar world of the United Planets, the mystery of the Orb, and the adventures of Jonathan "Jake" O'Hara and his companion Zet.

Every page of this site, every book in the catalog, and every corner of the universe described here comes from one imagination — and one story that refused to stay unwritten for 32 years.

"One story. Thirty-two years in the making. And it's only just beginning."
